CO2 Fractional Laser
The fractional laser is a high-end device that requires advanced training and deep knowledge to achieve the best results. When used correctly, its effects are magnificent in expert hands and with accurate diagnoses.
As an exceptional ablative laser, its operation is based on stimulating fibroblasts, which promotes skin regeneration. This laser works by ‘vaporizing’ the superficial layers of the skin and creating thermal columns in the deeper layers. It emits small light pulses that penetrate the skin, generating tiny controlled and targeted microscopic wounds. This process leads to rapid healing and high collagen production, resulting in a significant improvement in skin texture and healing.
The fractional laser can be applied to almost all areas of the body. On the face, it improves age-related changes, providing a rejuvenating or resurfacing effect. How effective is the CO2 laser?
The fractional CO2 laser is one of the most effective therapies for treating photoaging of the skin, which includes hyper- and hypopigmentation, wrinkles, and sagging. It is also highly effective in treating atrophic scars (such as those caused by acne) and hypertrophic scars (such as those resulting from burns or surgeries).
How long does it take to see the results of a CO2 laser?
Although improvement in skin texture and tone can be noticed within the first week, the final results will take about 3 months to become evident. This is due to the life cycle of red blood cells, which is approximately 120 days.
Neodimio Q-Switched
The neodymium laser is one of the most versatile for managing spots and pigmented skin lesions. Its effectiveness includes the removal of tattoos, sun spots, and small moles, with the ability to even completely remove them. It is also ideal for treating lesions like freckles, whether due to sun exposure or those you were born with.
This short-pulse neodymium laser provides more precise results, shorter treatment times, and better tolerance when handling higher intensities. It is recommended to have sessions every 6 weeks, achieving significantly better effects than long-wave NDYAG lasers.
EndoLaser
One of our standout treatments at Tersa Skin, led by Dr. Villanueva, is EndoLaser. This procedure uses a hybrid diode laser that combines 980 and 1470 nm wavelengths in a single light emission. It is exceptionally applied for bio-stimulation of the subcutaneous cell layer, enhancing cellular remodeling and the fibroblast membrane.
The results include a noticeable rejuvenation of the skin, improving its texture, elasticity, and hydration over the next three months. Additionally, an immediate effect is observed within seven days, providing significant skin tightening. This procedure boasts an unparalleled recovery time compared to other minimally invasive treatments, ranging from 12 hours to a maximum of 7 days. After the session, you can return to your daily activities without any issues.
In our localized lipodystrophy modality, the laser works by liquefying localized fat, allowing for better remodeling without the need for an invasive liposuction procedure, thereby avoiding any surgical risks. This procedure also improves fibrosis resulting from previous liposuction or other treatments, as the laser breaks down existing fibrous tissues. Additionally, being a 1470 laser, its wavelength is high, enabling the treatment of vascular lesions, such as small varicose veins or minimal vascular lesions, by destroying the red-colored cells.
